“RHODEY”  RULES

1        ELIGIBILITY:  Only Y.A.B.A. members, who are in good standing for the 2003-2004 season are eligible.  (Y.A.B.A. Rules 401, 402, 403).

 2        VERIFICATION:  Average verification for the Handicap Division only must accompany this entry form if you don’t have an established Little Rhodey average this year. (See verification form for details). Any bowler without verification who needs it must bowl scratch.

 3        AVERAGES:  Entering averages will be your highest YABA book average of previous year (2002-2003) or this year’s highest average (2003-2004, minimum 9 games) which ever is highest.  Tournament averages will be established after you have bowled in two (2) Tournaments or eight games, whichever comes first. You will have to use your Tournament average from this point on. Verification sheets will not be needed after this.

 4        DIVISIONS:  Handicap Any bowler with a 149 or less average must bowl in this division.  (Handicap will be based on 90% of 200).  ScratchAny bowler with a 180 or higher average must bowl in this division.  For bowlers who average is from 150 – 179.  You can chose which division you want to bowl in at the beginning of each tournament.  (No changes can be made once the tournament starts).

 5        FORMAT: This is a Single’s competition and consists of the following rounds.
            A.)    
1st Round: All bowlers will bowl four games across four (4) lanes.  The top 50% of each division will advance to a second round.                  B.)     2nd Round:  All qualifiers will bowl  Head to Head, single elimination, until we have a winner.

6        Y.A.B.A. RULES: All will be in effect.  Particularly those regarding sportsmanship.  Bowlers who do not follow these rules will be asked to leave. 

7        PROPER ATTIRE: Collared shirts are suggested.  No hats.  (Ocean State Y.A.B.A. rule #26).  Shorts are fine but must be tasteful.  No short skirts, Slaks are fine.  Tournament Director’s decisions on proper attire will be final.

8        AWARDS:  Scholarship/award fees will be returned 100%. Our award ratio is a minimum of one (1) scholarship/award for each ten (10) entries or a major fraction thereof. Medallions will be given out to first and second place winners in each division.  Scholarship money will be awarded to the top two- (2) finishers from each division.  Also for High Game Boy and Girl in each division.

9        SCORING CHANGES:   Can be made by Tournament Officials only.  (Foul lights will be on).

11   STARTING TIME: 11:00 a.m.  All entries must check in 30 minutes prior to tournament.
