Memorial Scholarship

Purpose:   The purpose of this scholarship is to provide Rhode Island USBCYA Bowlers, one (1) male and one (1) female, an opportunity to attend an area Bowling Camp in the interest of improving and enhancing the skills developing within these junior bowlers.

Eligibility:

                    All Junior and Major Division Rhode Island USBCYA Bowlers in good standing.

                    The junior bowlers to be considered must be characterized as displaying good sportsmanship.

 Forced suspension or expulsion of an individual from the YABA or any other sanctioned bowling organization will result in disqualification for any pending scholarship awards and complete forfeiture of all scholarships that the individual has been awarded.

Awards Process:

 The Head Coach or Senior League Official of each recognized junior bowling program within the jurisdiction of the Rhode Island USBCYA may submit scholarship applications for one (1) male and one (1) female bowlers from their programs.

Scholarship Applications must be postmarked by April 10th each year and received by April 15th. Applications received after April 15th will  not be considered.  Scholarships will be awarded at the Rhode Island USBCYA Annual Awards Banquet.

 Applications will be reviewed and winners selected by the Giguere Family or their appointed representatives.

  The Scholarship is funded and administrated by  Ron Giguere Scholarship/Elaine Lemieux Fund.  The Rhode

  Island USBCYA will provide the venue for awarding the Scholarship.
